The Board of Building and Fire Code Appeals conducts public hearings on proposed code adoptions, considers appeals of code applications and interpretations, and reviews proposals of alternate methods and materials of construction. Comprised of five Council-appointed Burbank residents, the Board meets on call in the City Council Chambers.
The current Board members are:
HEARING SCHEDULE & FEE: Hearings are scheduled within 60 days of the date the application is received by the Building Division. The application filing fee is $100.00.
AUTHORITY: The Board may hear and decide appeals of orders, decisions or determinations made by the Building Official relative to the application and interpretation of the building code, and proposals for the use of alternate methods and materials of construction. The Board cannot waive the requirements of the building code.
