Sites of Environmental Concern

Lists of contaminated and potentially contaminated sites are maintained by the U.S. EPA and California State Agencies such as the Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) and the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB).  The following databases may be researched for sites located in the City of Burbank:

U. S. Environmental Protection Agency

• Superfund Sites in Burbank

• National Priorities List (NPL)

• Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Information System (CERCLIS)

Department of Toxic Substances Control

(DTSC)

• Site Mitigation and Brownfields Reuse Program Database (CalSites)

• DTSC's Hazardous Waste and Substances Site List (Cortese List)

State Water Resources Control Board

(SWRCB)

The SWRCB now provides a consolidated search site called Geotracker that allows access to databases for Underground Storage Tanks (UST); Leaking Underground Storage Tank Information System (LUSTIS); Spills, Leaks, Investigation and Clean-ups (SLIC); Wells; Land Disposal Sites; and DOD Sites (Military and Federal facility clean-ups).
