Reorganized Municipal Code Effective June 13,
2008
On May 13, 2008, the Burbank City Council approved a comprehensive
reorganization and renumbering of the Burbank Municipal Code.
Previously, the Code was organized into 31 Chapters; the Zoning
Ordinance was Chapter 31. The reorganized Code is arranged into 11
Titles; the Zoning Ordinance is now Title 10. These changes become
effective on June 13, 2008.
The other changes to planning-related Code sections are as follows: Chapter 27 (Subdivisions) is now Title 11 and Chapter 21 (Environmental Protection) is now Title 9, Chapter 3.
All Code section citations have changed as a result of the renumbering, as shown in the following examples:
Section 31-101 is now Section 10-1-101
Section 27-101 is now Section 11-1-101
Section 21-101 is now Section 9-3-101
All section and subsection numbers and letters after the title/chapter numbers remain unchanged. For example, Section 31-123(a)(1) is now Section 10-1-123(a)(1). The only change is that 31- is now 10-1-.
