Planning Board
The Planning Board is comprised of five Burbank residents who are appointed by the City Council and serve four-year terms. The Board conducts public hearings and makes decisions on applications for discretionary projects such as conditional use permits and variances. The Board also hears appeals of decisions by the Community Development Director on certain types of project applications. The Board serves as an advisory body to the City Council on certain planning issues including amendments to the General Plan and Zoning Ordinance.
The Planning Board welcomes comments from the public about specific projects they are considering and about planning issues in general. If you wish to provide comments to the Board, please send an email to PlanningBoard@ci.burbank.ca.us. Your email will be sent directly to the five Planning Board members.
