Affordable Housing in the Community
The Burbank Redevelopment Agency, works with private and non-profit developers to develop affordable rental housing for low and moderate income households, including seniors and families. The affordable units developed in partnership with these developers, are privately owned and managed by these organizations.
BURBANK HOUSING CORPORATION (BHC) With assistance from the Redevelopment Agency, the BHC is a local non-profit developer that owns and manages over 220 affordable housing units in Burbank. The Corporation’s mission is to preserve, rehabilitate and develop new affordable housing opportunities in Burbank and to provide a safe, service-enriched environment for the residents in our communities. BHC maintains its own waiting list. Unfortunately, at this time the waiting list is filled to its capacity and is currently closed to additional inquiries. SENIOR HOUSING Through various development partnerships, the City of Burbank currently has 1,084 affordable senior housing units. Each complex maintains its own waiting list.
