Golden State Redevelopment Project Area
This area encompasses approximately 1,107 acres which has been changing from aerospace uses to primarily industrial and airport-related uses. Today, this project area is changing to more office and high-tech uses and promotional retail facilities. Studio post-production facilities are also becoming prominent uses within the project area.

Golden State Recent Achievements:
- Media Studios North consists of over 560,245 sq. ft. of office space with various tenants including WMC Mortgage and Yahoo!, Technicolor, Absolute Detail, Barth and Dreyfuss of CA, Sodexho at Network Café, Eclipse Advertising Inc., Ascent Media Group Inc., Ikon Office Solutions, 1355 Inverness Enterprises, and Insomniac Games Inc.
- Burbank Empire Center is a 103-acre mixed use project that includes 600,000 sq. ft. of retail space; 230,000 sq. ft. of office space; a 160,000 sq. ft. Sears Great Indoors; a 160,000 sq. ft. Costco; and two extended stay hotels with a total of 350 rooms.
- 300 Empire Center (Higgins Development Partners) is a 364,000 square foot, 7-story Class “A”, LEED Gold Certified office building just constructed. Located just south of the Bob Hope/Burbank Airport and just east of the Golden State Freeway (I-5), the project is part of a 105 acre master-planned retail, hotel and office project known as the Empire Center. The building is designed to support both media-related tenants and conventional office users. The adjacent parking garage provides approximately 1,300 parking spaces.
